Field Visits

Field Visits Day offers conference participants a grounded, on-the-ground look at how community violence intervention and legal strategies are working in practice. Through guided site visits and practitioner exchanges, attendees will engage directly with frontline leaders, legal advocates, and community-based organizations advancing safety, healing, and prevention in Baltimore.

Participants will be split between between two tracks:

  1. The CVI Practitioner track will meet with legal experts to explore legal infrastructure and the role of attorneys in strengthening community safety efforts.

  2. The Legal Practitioners track will see community violence intervention work in action and hear directly from frontline practitioners about implementation, challenges, and impact.

These visits are designed to move beyond theory by centering real-world practice, peer learning, and cross-sector connection. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of what effective, community-rooted safety strategies look like and how legal and policy tools can better support the field.
